La vigente delimitación de las Áreas Acústicas de la ciudad de Madrid fue aprobada por acuerdo de la Junta de Gobierno de 29 de noviembre de 2018.
  
  Las áreas acústicas presentan la siguiente clasificación: 
                              AME - Actividad Militar Exenta
                              AU - Suelo no urbanizable Residencial Urbanizada
                              AUE - Residencial Urbanizada Existente 
                              BU - Industrial Urbanizada
                              BUE - Industrial Urbanizada Existente
                              CUE - Terciario recreativo y espectáculos Urbanizada Existente
                              DU - Terciario Urbanizada
                              DUE - Terciario Urbanizada Existente
                              EU - Sanitario, docente y cultural Urbanizada
                              EUE -Sanitario, docente y cultural Urbanizada Existente
                              FUE - Infraestructura de transportes
                              NU - Suelo no urbanizable
                              PCA -  Pendiente de Calificación Acustica
